Although SRP is an indoor facility, SRP has several large windows and three overhead doors, providing a view to the outside from almost every run.

· SRP is owned and operated by a licensed veterinary technician with over ten years experience in pet-related fields.

· SRP's staff is experienced in the care of special needs pets.

· SRP is inspected and licensed by the State of Iowa's Department of Agriculture.

· SRP provides large runs and spacious cat cages.

· Dog runs available up to 6'w * 12' l * 6'h. Each run has a 4' high privacy panel to eliminate nose-to-nose contact, and is covered to prevent the rare climbing dog from getting out.

· Cat cages are extremely spacious, manufactured to hold large breed dogs. These cages are 4'l * 2.5' w * 3' h.

· SRP provides cats and toy breed dogs a separate building away from the "big dogs."

· SRP exercises your dog several times a day, and gives quality "lap time" to our feline friends.

· Located on just less than four acres there is plenty of room to play.

· SRP provides two 100' trolley systems for your dog to stretch his/her paws.

· SRP is offering new in the summer of 2001-An outdoor wading pool area for dogs that enjoy cooling off by playing in the water.

· SRP has plenty of naturally (non-certified) raised, wild catnip to entertain our feline friends.

· SRP has intentionally planted plants to attract butterflies and hummingbirds, thus giving our canine friends something to watch and interact with in the break areas.

· SRP has "kennel decks" in every dog run. This gives your pet a place to lie up off the cement floor. An ideal place to put their personal pet pillow from home.

· SRP uses only stainless steel buckets and bowls, being the best material for effective cleansing.

· SRP carries a complete line of toys and treats to help dogs that may become homesick. "We specialize in natural pet foods and treats." All of our natural treats are made in the USA from US livestock, processed in USDA inspected plants.

· SRP is centrally located on P33. Only five miles north of Spring Lake. Just 30 minutes south of Ft. Dodge or 45 minutes west of Ames.

OUR CANCELATION & NO SHOW POLICY

As with any hotel for people, we must insure that people are sincere in their reservation. Hence, we must immediately instate the following cancellation and no show policies.

Cancellations should be made no later then 48 hours prior to your pet's reservation. Failure to give at least one days notice may result in a fine.

The fine will be assessed based on the potential lost revenue for holding the run while others are turned away.

No shows will be subjected to a fine of $50 per enclosure that you have reserved that could not be filled from the result of your family not showing.

I am sorry that with 5 years of being in business at our Paton location that with the relevance of these things occurring and becoming more frequent, and the reality that if it would continue, it would adversely affect our ability to provide this quality service, hence we must implement these policies.

BOARDING CHECK LIST

DOGS:
1. Bring shot records
· Distemper combo with parvo, DA2PL-CPV-CV
· Rabies
· Bordetella / kennel cough, this vaccine is not normally given except when boarding. This is a nose drop and works best when it can be administered to the pet five days (or more) before boarding.

2. Must have a well-fitted collar (no choke or pinch collars)

3. If they are on medication or a special diet, you will need to bring it in a sealed (plastic)container. Please bring with you the name of the food you are feeding and the first five ingredients, so we can match your food. We have on hand a large variety of all-natural pet foods, which contain no by-products, no artificial colors / flavors, no chemical preservatives (BHA, BHT, or ethoxyquin). Brands like, Artemis, Eagle Pack & Prism, Canidae / Felidae, Solid Gold, Precise, and raw meat diets are available. Additional charges may apply for raw / or holistic diets. Please bring with you the name of the food you are feeding and the first five ingredients, so we can match your food. We WILL NOT feed a diet that contains: meat-by-products, artificial colors / flavors, BHA, BHT, or ethoxyquin. We feel strongly about the risk involved with such feeds, so please do not ask us to do so.

4. We recommend you bring a toy or blanket from home to give them security.

5. We are a flea free environment. Animals will not be allowed to board if they have fleas. We recommend and personally use Bio Spot. If your pet has fleas purchase some Bio spot / Frontline here or purchase Revolution from your vet before their boarding date. Otherwise, the animal will be treated on arrival at the owners expense.

CATS:

We recommend that small to medium size dogs board in the 6' * 6' to allow room for large breed dogs in the large runs. If you book a 6' * 6' run and the 6' * 12' remains open we will upgrade your pet at no additional charge.

Check out time is 2PM, after which you may be charged for that evening.

Drop off / Pick up appointments are available Monday - Friday 9 am - Noon & 4 pm - 7 pm, and Saturday 9 am - noon.

Our cat cages are large enough to accommodate a full size litter box, bowls, a bed, yet providing plenty of room to walk around in.
